Descriptions: • Each student will be responsible for leading class for 45 minutes during one class period this semester. During this 45 minute time period, the student is in charge of leading the class in a review and discussion of CURRENT EVENTS and issues related to the designated topic. • The goal of this class time is for each student to gain a thorough understanding of the current state of the field regarding the subject and be able to identify the related key issues facing businesses and employees. As the individual leading the class, you are expected to become an expert in this subject matter. Requirements o First 15 minutes: Each student must spend at least the first 15 minutes of their class time presenting to the class a comprehensive “state of the field” regarding the assigned subject. This “state of the field” presentation should identify the key issues presently facing businesses or employees related to the topic based on examples or case studies of real-life occurrences within the past 2 years. The purpose of this presentation is to give the class an overview of what is currently happening in business related to this subject. o Final 30 minutes: The student leading the class has discretion regarding how to use the remaining 30 minutes of the class time. The purpose of the final 30 minutes is to help the class engage with the relevant contemporary management issues related to the subject matter.
